Markus Falz, CEO
Markus has been actively engaged in the power transmission and renewable energy industries since 1998. He received his Master’s Degree in Business Economics from the University of Siegen in Germany and is a managing partner of AFA GmbH. Through AFA's close collaboration with leading German solar firms Markus decided in 2009 to open up a U.S company to build utility scale solar parks in North America.
Daniel Prokopy, Director of US Operations
Daniel is a Senior-level professional experienced as CEO of public listed company specializing in solar energies.
He has 10 years of international experience in Project Management, Development and Finance for commercial and large-scale solar energy plants and as international leading Procurement Manager for solar system components.
Seasoned executive with in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and their commercial applications, as well as international business expertise in North-America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Ulrich Falz, CTO
Ulrich (Rick) Falz has had a distinguished career in international large scale engineering and manufacturing and has worked in executive posts for various organizations around the globe setting up international manufacturing operations throughout Asia. Before joining SB Energy Holdings, as the Chief Technology Officer, Rick was the President of Vulkan Couplings Corporation, a major industrial conglomerate in Germany, distinguished as the world leader in the field of highly flexible couplings. Rick earned his Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering from Technical College in Dortmund, Germany and is the founder of AFA GmbH, a renewable energy consultancy firm in Germany that implements international procurement procedures for many leading solar engineering and construction firms in Europe.
Gary Dounson, Engineering Consultant
Gary holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in engineering and is a state certified general and solar contractor. He has been a practicing professional engineer for over 30 years with extensive experience in the design and development of utility infrastructure in the renewable energy sector. Gary has been the Engineer of Record for the design of several 100 MW of utility scale PV Plants in the U.S and Latin America. Gary assists SB Energy Holdings in all technical functions including site and system feasibility analysis, PV design and layout, permitting, interconnection efforts, and the management of outside engineering and contractors.
